How To To Root Gionee Elife S Plus

This is a tutorial on how to root Gionee Elife S Plus on Android 6.0 Marshmallow which was recently updated. This tutorial will involve to steps which are

• Unlocking the Bootloader of the Gionee Elife S Plus
• And flashing Hovatek TWRP recovery.img and SuperSU.zip

Requirements To Root Gionee Elife S Plus On Android 6.0 Marshmallow

• A Desktop/Laptop computer
• Good USB cord
• Your Gionee Elife S Plus

Steps on how to root Gionee Elife S Plus On Android 6.0 Marshmallow

1. First of all download SuperSU.zip HERE
2. Now copy the SuperSU.zip to your phone SD card and internal storage
3. Also download the TWRP for Gionee Elife S Plus HERE
4. Setup Fastboot and ADB on your pc using this guide from Team Hovatek HERE
5. Extract and copy TWRP recovery.img to the same folder as the fasboot.exe and adb.exe
6. Unlock the Bootloader of your Gionee Elife S Plus using this guide from Team Hovatek here
7. Connect your phone to your PC using a USB cord while your your phone is switched on and boot it into fasboot
8. After entrying fastboot, Now load the TWRP recovery to your phone by typing the following commad below and pressing enter

• Fastboot boot recovery.img

9. Your phone should automatically boot into TWRP recovery mode
10. When in TWRP, click on KEEP READ ONLY if you get a prompt asking you to swipe to allow modification of the system partition
11. Select No if TWRP offers to root your phone
12. Click on install in TWRP recovery
13. Move to the location of the SuperSU.76.zip and click on it
14. Swipe to confirm flashing of SuperSU.zip and hold on till flashing is complete
15. Now reboot the phone
16. That is all
