Facebook has debut a new feature to Messenger. Just few days ago, they added a new camera experience in the app and today, they have unveil new feature to the app.

Now in the Facebook messenger, group video chat is now possible. Up to six people can be seen at the same time in any group video chat, but up to 50 persons can join in via voice - or just listen. Once more than six people are on camera, only the dominant speaker is shown to all participants.

Facebook says 245 million people have been making (one-to-one) video calls each month, and with the new feature of group video calling feature then we assume the usage numbers will skyrocket in the following weeks. Well,  starting from today, Group Video Chat will be available to Android and iOS devices, and the desktop version of Messenger, worldwide.

How to use Facebook Group Video chat feature


To enjoy this feature, you’ll need the latest version of Messenger via your respective app store. All you have to do is jump into an existing group conversation, or create a new one. Then tap on the video icon on the upper right of the screen to enter the video chat and everyone in the group will be notified. Each person can join when they are ready with just one tap. For an extra nudge, you can also directly ring just a few people or the whole group.
